WE ARE MANY is a solo narrative role-playing game about rage, strategy, and the impossible dream of political change. Includes a soundtrack on CD.
Time: 60 min
The year is 2070. The climate crisis, ignored for decades, finally broke the world. To save their economy, the global powers didn't heal the planet- they simply blocked it out. They call it the Stratoshield: a man-made sunshade of sulphuric mist sprayed into the heavens by military jets. The temperature dropped, the skies turned a permanent, hazy grey, and the last chance for a green future died. Solar panels starved, renewable energy crashed, and the oil corporations, those architects of disaster, rose from the ashes with a new and terrifying power. They rebuilt the world in their image, herding the displaced billions into colossal mega-cities like Liberty, the new capital of Europe, a sprawling beast of a metropolis where 30 million souls fight for scraps.
This is the new world order. A two-party system, a gilded cage, where both choices serve the same corporate masters. The people are desperate, angry, and looking for a way out.
You are the campaign manager for an independent political movement that believes the system isn't broken - it is working exactly as intended. Your goal is a political assassination. You have 16 weeks to take one of your own- a union organizer, a former street dweller, a disillusioned heir- and make them the next mayor of Liberty. You must rally the unheard, navigate a city of entrenched interests, and outmaneuver enemies who don't just want to win the election.... they want to bury you and your cause for good.
